My Mahi (work)

Relaxing at the beach & sharing a laugh

I'm Tipuna led &  Hauora focused!

I have a degree in Physiotherapy from Otago University (1998) & 27 years of experience, with around 10 years of medico-legal experience as a clinical advisor.

I'm actively engaged in post-graduate study & course facilitation at MHERC on Mãtauranga Mãori & Distress, as well as health governance, advocacy, policy & research.

My Pũrakau (story)

I was adopted by my Kuia and mentored in Social Work and Te Ao Mãori. I enjoyed much success at School & excelled at a variety of Sports, and blessed with 3 beautiful daughters.

While none of these experiences define me, they all contribute to a unique world view which has motivated me to help others.

However, I strongly believe that being formally diagnosed with ADHD, as well as having experienced & overcome a brain injury has helped me to further empathise with and understand the people that I help.
